Teacher Assistant (Half-Time) - School Year 2026-2027 (Anticipated Vacancies)

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Adhere to Texas Education Agency and district policies and procedures.
• Affiliate with implementing the instructional program.
• Prepare and organize instructional materials and equipment.
• Afford assistance in classroom management and implement daily schedule.
• Afford assistance in record keeping and clerical duties.
• Afford assistance to teachers in the computer lab.
• Afford assistance in communicating with parents.

Student Management

• Collaborate with students individually or in small groups to reinforce skills and concepts.
• Afford assistance with testing of students for program purposes.

Other

• Perform related duties (lunchroom supervision, bus duty, etc.) as required.

Supervisory Responsibilities

None

Equipment Used

Computer and various office equipment.

Working Conditions

• Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. This position requires regular in-person interaction with the public.
• Physical Demands: Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of the computer. Frequent sitting, stooping, bending, pushing and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, boxes, equipment and other campus equipment.
