TEACHER AIDE MSD - Substitute Teacher Aide Contractual Position

The Maryland School for the Deaf is seeking substitute teacher aides to support students in various academic and extracurricular activities. This position requires flexibility and adherence to the school's regulations and policies.

About the role

Candidates must be available on an on-call basis and able to implement student instructional programs and daily schedules as directed by the teacher. They must also accommodate and follow each behavior support plan for individual students, assist with student arrivals and dismissals, and supervise students during off-campus instruction.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Fluency in ASL and written English
• Knowledge of students with additional disabilities and ability to teach students on different levels and with varying educational backgrounds

• Leave may be granted at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year
