About the role
Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Child Care Staff / Teacher Aide in the Saxonburg, PA area. The position works Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, in the preschool classroom inside Knoch Primary School. This is a seasonal position, working during the school year only and taking summers off.
Responsibilities
- The care and supervision of children, ages 3 years to 5 years old
- Assisting with lesson planning and creating fun activities
- Teaching early education concepts (colors, letters, numbers, etc.)
- Supervising indoor and outdoor play time
- Informing parents about the child's day
Qualifications
- Required: High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children (can be paid or unpaid)
- Able to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
- Able to provide acceptable state clearances
- Able to multi-task and work in a team environment
