About This Role

This Teacher Aide opportunity at Winsted Area Child Care Center serves Mixed / All Ages and requires a willingness to earn a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, with employer support. Based in Winsted, CT, candidates bring experience in early childhood education and development.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold a High School Diploma and be at least 18 years old.
• A minimum of 1 year professional child care experience is required.
• The ability to work well with others (staff, children, and families) is essential.
• Maintaining confidentiality is a critical aspect of this role.
• Flexibility and adaptability are key to meeting the needs of our children and program.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, as well as basic computer skills, are necessary.
• A desire to continue learning through professional development is highly valued.
• Must clear a full background check and pass a health screening per OEC licensing regulations.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform other physical tasks related to an early childhood environment, including kneeling, bending, squatting, and crawling.

Nice to Have

• Candidates with Early Childhood Education credits are highly desirable.
• Experience in a NAEYC accredited program is a significant asset.
• Infant/Child CPR and First Aid Certification is a valuable qualification.

Benefits
