Teacher Aide

About the role

Lifesteps is hiring a Full-Time Teacher Aide to work in the new classroom at BC3 this fall. Lifesteps is growing! A new preschool program is opening next school year within the Butler County Community College location in Butler, PA.

Responsibilities

• The care and supervision of children, ages 3 years to 5 years old
• Assisting with lesson planning and creating fun activities
• Teaching early education concepts (colors, letters, numbers, etc.)
• Supervising indoor and outdoor play time
• Informing parents about the child's day

Qualifications

• Required: High School Diploma/GED and two years of experience working with children - can be paid or unpaid work such as Summer Camps, Church Nursery, Babysitting, Bible School, Volunteering with children, etc.
• Able to lift or move up to 30 pounds without assistance
• Able to provide acceptable state clearances
• Able to multi-task and work in a team environment
