Responsibilities
- Must have high school diploma or equivalent
- Civil Service approved
- Receive state and federal clearance through a fingerprint-supported criminal history background check
- Work with young people with extreme patience
- Be helpful and attentive to directions of the teacher
- Able to assist in lifting and toileting of students
- Show patience, consistency, and ability to manage challenging behaviors
- Help organize materials and supplies
- Show strong communication and interpersonal skills with parents, students, and staff
- Be flexible and accommodating
