What You'll Do

• Develops lesson plans to address individual needs, including individualized training for assignments.
• Provides necessary instruction for Adult Basic Education/General Education Development programs.
• Administers necessary tests.
• Evaluates inmates and provides necessary direction for inmates.
• Maintains discipline and/or security of instructional areas.
• Attends education meetings, unit staff meetings, and in-service training.
• Prepares required records and reports.
• Maintains inventory and orders supplies and materials needed.
• Performs other education and/or related duties as requested by education administrators.
• Performs other duties as required on assignment.

Qualifications

• Any current Teacher Certificate appropriate grade level to be assigned; Teacher 1, 71721, must also have a baccalaureate degree or less.
• May be considered if possessing a Baccalaureate degree & an Adult Educator four year permit and/or eligible to receive a four-year permit from the Ohio Department of Education.
