What You'll Do
- Develops lesson plans to address individual needs, including individualized training for assignments.
- Provides necessary instruction for Adult Basic Education/General Education Development programs.
- Administers necessary tests.
- Evaluates inmates and provides necessary direction for inmates.
- Maintains discipline and/or security of instructional areas.
- Attends education meetings, unit staff meetings, and in-service training.
- Prepares required records and reports.
- Maintains inventory and orders supplies and materials needed.
- Performs other education and/or related duties as requested by education administrators.
- Performs other duties as required on assignment.
Requirements
Applicants who possess a Baccalaureate degree & an Adult Educator four year permit and/or are eligible to receive a four-year permit from the Ohio Department of Education, may be considered.
Any current Teacher Certificate appropriate grade level to be assigned; Teacher 1, 71721, must also have a baccalaureate degree or less.
