TDCJ - Laundry Manager III - Unit Laundry

About the role

This position reports to the Unit Warden on a daily basis and involves planning and directing unit laundry operations, coordinating laundry schedules, ensuring proper use and maintenance of equipment and supplies, maintaining operational records, maintaining order and discipline among inmates, and supervising staff.

Requirements

• Three years full‑time, wage‑earning correctional or institutional laundry experience
• Detail‑oriented
• Strong work ethic

Qualifications

• Two years full‑time wage‑earning experience as a Correctional Officer, Supervisor of Correctional Officers, Correctional Laundry Manager, or Food Service Manager
• Strong understanding of laundry operations
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision with extensive latitude for initiative and independent judgment
