Responsibilities
- Preparing documents for intake processing to include preparing folders, running criminal history checks on newly received inmates, scanning intake documents, and tracking inmates through the intake process
- Departmental supply orders, mail distribution and other general clerical duties
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be able to obtain a certificate of course completion for the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunications System (TLETS) policy and procedures training from the Texas Department of Public Safety within six months of employment date
Preferred qualifications
- Customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support experience
- Intake, classification or criminal justice experience
- Strong typing skills
- General knowledge of Microsoft programs (i.e., Excel, Word and Outlook)
- Knowledge of Microsoft programs
- Detail oriented and strong work ethics
