TDCJ - Administrative Assistant II - Generic
About the role
Performs routine administrative support work. Work involves providing administrative support including disseminating information; assisting with maintaining filing systems; and preparing and editing reports and documents. Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited senior high school or earned a GED
- One year of full-time, wage-earning experience in customer service, clerical, secretarial, administrative support, or technical program support
- Computer operations experience is preferred
- Your background demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and the ability to support daily office operations effectively
Skills
- Strong knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Solid understanding of business terminology, spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Familiarity with the agency's organizational structure, policies, procedures, rules, and regulations is preferred
- Communicates ideas and instructions clearly and concisely
- Works well with staff, departments, officials, agencies, organizations, and the public
- Demonstrates professionalism, clarity, and reliability
