About the Role

This unique faculty position offers an exceptional opportunity to join the Division of Pediatric Surgery at Texas Children's Hospital as a Pediatric General Surgeon while serving as a member of the multidisciplinary Texas Children's Fetal Center.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive pediatric surgical services in both the inpatient and outpatient settings at the Texas Medical Center campus
• Support the continued growth and innovation of the Fetal Center
• Develop an internationally recognized research program focused on advancing fetal therapy and fetal surgery
• Conduct translational and clinical investigation with protected research time
• Collaborate across Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children's Hospital
• Develop externally funded research
• Provide mentorship of trainees
• Integrate scientific discovery into clinical care

Structure

• 50% clinical appointment
• 50% research appointment
