Assistant/Associate/Full Professor of Surgery – Pediatric Surgeon
About the role
The Department of Surgery, Division of Pediatric Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking an outstanding candidate for a full-time academic surgeon with an exemplary record of patient care and expertise in Pediatric Surgery. Candidates must be board eligible/board certified and have completed or will complete by the time of hire an accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship.
Responsibilities
- Clinical activities will be focused at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland.
- A focus and experience in the care of children with trauma.
- An interest and experience in aerodigestive diseases in children, particularly related to complex esophageal atresia and tracheo-esophageal fistula and related conditions.
- Excellent abilities to work in multidisciplinary teams.
- Recognized skills in the education of surgery residents and medical students.
- Active participation in the Department’s residency training and educational programs.

Qualifications
- Board eligible/board certified in Pediatric Surgery.
- Completed or will complete by the time of hire an accredited Pediatric Surgery fellowship.
- Pending qualifications listed on CV.
Skills
Candidates should have a focus and experience in the care of children with trauma with an academic focus in this area. Benefits
This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan which provides for eligibility for additional compensation.
Pay
The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $154,700 - $405,900.
Schedule
The start date for employment will be in the Fall of 2027.
