Assistant Professor -Pediatric Surgery

About the role

The Department of Surgery at Marshall University is searching for a Pediatric General Surgeon to lead the Pediatric Surgery service line that serves the Hoops Family Children’s Hospital at Cabell Huntington Hospital. This is a great opportunity to support the existing general surgery team and pediatric specialists with the Marshall University Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical care to pediatric patients in the surgical setting
• Collaborate with other pediatric specialists and surgeons
• Participate in teaching and training medical students, residents, and fellows
• Contribute to research initiatives related to pediatric surgery
• Engage in administrative duties as needed

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in General Surgery
• Current Medical License in West Virginia
• Experience in pediatric surgery preferred
