Assistant Professor of Clinical Practice, Surgery-Pediatric
Essential Job Functions
The person in this position will be responsible for providing direct patient care including consultative services, outpatient and inpatient services, and perioperative care. The faculty member will participate in all teaching activities of the division including conferences and lectures, bedside rounds, and house staff supervision. Students will include medical students, house staff, nursing students, and allied health students. This individual will also be responsible for advancing clinical knowledge through his/her academic and scholarly efforts. In addition, the person in this position will have administrative responsibilities including advising and evaluating residents and students, providing medical direction for Hospital services, and participating in committee memberships at the departmental and Health System level.
Minimum Qualifications
The person in this position must possess a MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school, be board certified or board eligible in surgery, and have completed a residency program in surgery. They should have a strong commitment to teaching, research, and patient care.
