About the role

The Department of Congenital Heart Surgery is seeking a qualified cardiac trained surgeon with prior experience in congenital heart surgery for a clinical faculty position at Texas Children’s Hospital. This is a two-year position with an option to extend further. The recruited individual will serve as a full-time faculty member at the level of Instructor in the Department of Surgery, Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery, Baylor College of Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Act primarily as first assist in surgery within one of the busiest and highest-ranked Congenital Heart Surgery programs in the world at Texas Children’s Hospital
• Provide clinical support and contribute to patient care management
• Further knowledge in congenital heart surgery and patient care management

Requirements

• Cardiac surgery training
• Prior experience in congenital heart surgery
• Eligibility for a United States Medical License or completion of all USMLE exams prior to starting
• Ability to apply for and be granted a Texas medical license
