TCEQ - Program Supervisor VI (TCEQ Employees Only)

About the Role

Join the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) as a Program Supervisor in the External Relations Division, supporting the agency's mission of protecting public health and natural resources. This position is part of the executive director's office and plays a key role in managing day-to-day operations and the Take Care of Texas (TCOT) program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and monitor Take Care of Texas (TCOT) program activities to ensure timely, accurate, and complete project delivery.
• Oversee program content and coordinate closely with division management to align with agency goals.
• Perform personnel management functions, including interviewing, hiring, developing staff, and performance management.
• Manage the TCOT contract in accordance with the GAP manual.
• Track the TCOT budget and provide budget recommendations to the section manager.
• Communicate program information to employees, management, internal and external stakeholders, and customers through verbal communication, correspondence, meetings, and presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Experience planning, developing, and implementing marketing or outreach campaigns.
• One year of experience in a supervisory capacity.
• Experience in the administration of a program relevant to the assignment OR graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in a relevant field.
• Ability to maintain the security or integrity of critical infrastructure (e.g., communication systems, cybersecurity, electric grid, hazardous waste treatment, or water treatment facilities).

A copy of your official college transcript or evaluation of foreign credentials may be required if needed to verify qualifications.

Schedule

Standard business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Individual and workgroup schedules are determined by the TCEQ Austin Office.
