About the role

The NCCAA is seeking an Assistant Coach for Men’s & Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field. This role supports the head coach in all aspects of program development, athlete training, and competition preparation for both Division I and Division II programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing daily practices for cross country and track & field athletes.
• Support recruitment efforts for prospective student-athletes in compliance with NCCAA and institutional guidelines.
• Monitor academic progress and eligibility of student-athletes.
• Coordinate travel arrangements and logistics for meets and competitions.
• Assist in meet management, including event setup, timing, and results reporting.
• Foster a Christ-centered environment that aligns with the NCCAA’s mission of #KingChasing and #RingChasing.
• Collaborate with athletic department staff on fundraising, community engagement, and promotional activities.

Requirements

• Prior coaching or competitive experience in cross country and/or track & field at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
• Knowledge of NCAA or NCCAA rules and regulations (preferred but not required).
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Commitment to the spiritual and athletic development of student-athletes.
• Ability to travel for competitions and recruitment events.
