Tax Senior Associate-(Private Client Services)

Responsibilities
- Aid in providing tax planning and compliance services to high-net-worth clients.
- Prepare complex tax returns, including individual (1040) and partnership filings.
- Prepare small business returns (C Corps, S Corps and Partnerships).
- Maintain regular communication with clients and internal teams to support ongoing engagements.
- Prepare tax workpapers and conduct tax research related to high-net-worth individuals and related entities.
- Develop an understanding of hedge fund K-1 reporting and its impact on individual taxation.
- Review work prepared by junior staff for accuracy and completeness (as appropriate).
- Mentor and support junior team members, providing guidance and feedback.
- Stay current on federal and state tax law developments and apply changes to client work.
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in the office a minimum of 3 days per week.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required.
- Active CPA license or EA certification or in progress preferred.
- MST a plus.
- 3+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting, with a focus on high-net-worth individuals, family offices, or private client services.
- Knowledge of individual, trust, estate, and gift taxation is a plus.
- Working knowledge of foreign reporting requirements, including forms such as 926, 8865, 8938, 5471, 8621, 8886, and FBAR.
- General understanding of pass-through entity taxation at both the individual and entity level.
- Proficient with MS Office Suite and tax research platforms (e.g., CCH, BNA, RIA).
- Knowledge of ProSystems FX preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation & Benefits
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 - $90,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
