Key Responsibilities For The Tax Preparer & Bookkeeper Prepare federal and state individual and business tax returns.Maintain client books in QuickBooks, including reconciliations and journal entries.Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and customer accounts.Review and clean up financial records and prepare tax-ready schedules.Communicate directly with clients regarding accounting, bookkeeping, and tax-related matters.Support payroll reconciliations, tax planning activities, and related filings. Qualifications For The Tax Preparer & Bookkeeper Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.Prior public accounting, tax firm, or similar professional services experience preferred.Strong QuickBooks experience and understanding of account reconciliations.Experience with UltraTax, Drake Tax Software, and Excel preferred.Enrolled Agent (EA) credential preferred but not required for experienced candidates.
