Tax Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Ensures company’s adherence to all payroll related local, state, federal, and Canadian tax.
• Reconciles all quarterly and annual tax returns in Dayforce.
• Submits and enters all prior period adjustments and current period adjustments.
• Manages all stock tax entries.
• Manages Escheat entries.
• Manages award (monetary and non-monetary) tax entries.
• Files all returns not covered by Dayforce.
• Manages multi-jurisdiction tax setup for all employees.
• Verifies and validates all tax setup at the employee level.
• Knowledge and understanding of local tax setup and reciprocity between states and local agencies.
• Updates all minimum wage rates, as applicable.
• Updates all SUI tax rates into Ulti Payroll and validates rates are updated with Ulti tax department.
• Researches all tax notices for prior and current years.
• Manages Canada tax returns.
• Researches and reconciles tax deposits and filings.
• Responds to agency and Dayforce tax-related inquiries.
• Reconciles, prepares, and distributes W-2s.
• Manages preparation of year-end postings including fringe benefits.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the activities enumerated above.

Requirements

• Dayforce/tax reconciliation experience preferred.
• At least two years of relevant experience.
