About the role

The Supervisor oversees engagements and directs staff efforts within the firm to assist clients, management, owners, and/or others charged with governance of privately held businesses, not-for-profit organizations, governmental entities, employee benefit plans, and individuals. The Supervisor provides accounting, auditing, tax, and/or other consulting services to clients within established firm and accounting guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and/or oversee and review planning and fieldwork procedures in accounting and auditing engagements (including client inquiry, analytics, and testing).
  • Perform and/or oversee and review the preparation of financial statements.
  • Perform and/or oversee and review the preparation of federal and state income tax returns for corporate, individual, partnership, fiduciary, trust, estate, and non-profit clients.
  • Perform and/or oversee and review any other governmental filings as necessary.
  • Identify areas of concern or new areas requiring research of accounting and/or tax standards and applicable legislation.
  • Perform necessary research.
  • Continue to enhance communication skills with internal teams and management.
  • May serve as the primary contact with a client.
  • Perform engagement evaluations of staff, senior accountants, and interns on assigned engagements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related field.
  • MST, MSA, or other industry-related graduate degree preferred.
  • Current, active CPA license.
  • A minimum of three years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Strong computer, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, energetic, and a desire to learn.
  • Ability to excel in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Integrity, handling of confidential information, and effective communication with client employees and management.
  • Standard day shift in an office environment, with potential for travel or alternate work schedules based on client needs.

Pay

$92,000 - $113,000 yearly salary.
