A growing public accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join its team and take on a key client-facing role. This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who enjoys working directly with clients, managing relationships, and taking ownership of tax engagements while having the support of an established and growing firm. Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review individual and business income tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, 990, and 1041Review tax returns for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable tax regulationsBe responsible for reviewing and signing tax returns within your area of authorizationManage an assigned book of business and serve as a primary point of contact for clientsBuild and maintain strong, long-term client relationshipsAdvise clients on tax matters and identify tax planning opportunitiesTake over and manage an established client portfolio as part of the firm's continued growth and acquisition activityCollaborate with other members of the accounting and tax team to ensure quality and timely completion of engagementsAssist with the onboarding and transition of new clientsContribute to the continued growth of the practice through client relationships and referralsWhy Consider This Opportunity?Established book of business providedLaid-back, flexible work environmentMake your own scheduleSummer FridaysOpportunity to take ownership of an existing client portfolioGrowing firm with additional business expectedOpportunity to work with clients across a variety of tax needsOpportunity to play an important role in the firm's growth and expansionCollaborative environment with the resources and support of an established organization QualificationsActive CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) credential requiredMust be licensed/credentialed to review and sign tax returnsSeveral years of public accounting or tax preparation experienceStrong experience preparing and reviewing both individual and business tax returnsExperience with 1040, 1120S, 1065, 1120, 990, and/or 1041 returnsStrong technical tax knowledge and attention to detailExcellent client-service and communication skillsAbility to independently manage multiple client engagements and deadlinesStrong organizational and problem-solving skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
