Tax Manager (Hybrid)

We are working with a full-service tax, accounting, and business consulting firm, serving individuals, companies, and nonprofit organizations. They offer a broad suite of financial services including tax planning and preparation, bookkeeping, payroll, financial statement preparation, strategic business planning, cash flow management, and advisory support. They're looking to expand and grow their teams with a need of a Senior Tax Accountant and Tax Manager.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This role is a great fit for a Generalist who enjoys working directly with small businesses, as well as individuals and nonprofit clients.
Responsibilities
- Review business, individual, and nonprofit tax returns.
- Provide tax planning and advisory services to small business clients.
- Assist clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and financial statement support as needed.
- Research tax issues and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality client service.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive communication and guidance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of tax experience, ideally in public accounting and background in leadership
- CPA or EA is a preference
- Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws for small businesses and individuals.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines.
