Tax Engagement Support Service Specialist

Responsibilities

• Print and assemble tax returns using firm software tools and Route Sheet instructions, ensuring all required client deliverables are saved to the document management system and delivered to external clients.
• Set up new clients, prepare tax organizers, scan client workpapers (if applicable), deliver tax returns, generate workflow reports, and track due dates to meet expectations for timeliness, responsiveness, accuracy, and service quality.
• Prepare tax client documents such as engagement letters, statements of work, and other requested deliverables.
• Own the e‑file process: monitor and release external client tax returns to taxing authorities, ensure correct returns are released, meet filing deadlines, track acceptance, transmission errors, and rejections, and resolve issues as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly master a variety of tax software and company tools; role includes specialized training.
• Ability to problem‑solve in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic to intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of the technology tools required for the responsibilities.
• Effective organization and time‑management skills; ability to manage multiple tasks.

Pay

Compensation Range: $46,100 – $73,700.
