Tax Support Specialist
About the role
As a Tax Support Specialist at Check, you will own a defined set of federal, state, and local tax agencies end-to-end, including notice resolution, correspondence, corrections, and ongoing compliance across your portfolio. You will be the direct point of contact with agencies, handling phone calls, navigating agency processes, and ensuring issues are fully resolved. You will communicate directly with partners about their notices or tax accounts, translating complex agency interactions into clear, honest updates. You will manage a queue of tax issues across your agencies, balancing urgency and complexity without losing track of what's open. You will recognize patterns in your portfolio that indicate larger systemic issues and bring those signals to the right people.
