Tax Director (US Remote)

For our client, we are seeking a Tax Director (US Remote) to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space. This role will lead the company’s global tax provision and income tax reporting function, with responsibility for ensuring accurate ASC 740 reporting and strong compliance controls. The position will partner closely with accounting, external advisors, and outsourced providers to manage complex tax processes across the U.S. and international jurisdictions. It is well-suited for a seasoned tax leader who can bring technical depth, cross-functional coordination, and process improvement to a global environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $173,200 – $288,600 annually Responsibilities Own the global tax provision, including ASC 740, current and deferred taxes, and income tax disclosures Manage outsourced providers for U.S. federal and state income tax compliance, including preparation and review of returns Oversee U.S. federal, state, and local tax audits, and support audits in foreign jurisdictions Assist with global tax planning, with a focus on EMEA and APAC regions Coordinate global tax reporting with outsourced providers and local accounting teams Support M&A initiatives and U.S. international tax matters Drive process improvement and automation in tax workflows, ensuring audit readiness Qualifications 15+ years of corporate income tax experience, particularly with global ASC 740 provisions at multinational firms Hands-on experience with U.S. federal and state compliance, including managing outsourced preparers Expertise in U.S. international tax matters such as GILTI, Subpart F, and BEAT Direct experience leading income tax examinations and audits Public company reporting experience with strong SOX documentation practices Proactive problem-solver who drives issues to resolution independently Strong collaboration skills across various departments and with external advisors Benefits Comprehensive health and wellness programs Flexible work arrangements to support work-life balance Professional development opportunities and career advancement Collaborative and inclusive company culture Access to cutting-edge tax technology and resources Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
