Tax Director - State and Local Tax (SALT) - Hybrid

EisnerAmper · Fort Lauderdale, FL · 1 mo ago
Hybrid$170k–$300k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes "Job Description" intro, then "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper", "What Work You Will be Responsible For:", "Basic Qualifications:", "Preferred/Desired Qualifications:", "About Our Tax Team", "About EisnerAmper". Also salary info: "For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $300,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law." That's salary info, so we can include a Pay section with that content. No schedule info. Benefits? Not explicit. So we include sections where there is real content: About the role (maybe we can use "About the role" heading for the introductory description? The instruction: use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). We should not repeat job title as heading. We need to decide which sections to include. We have content: - Intro paragraph: "Job Description At EisnerAmper, we look for individuals..." That's about the role/firm culture. Could be "About the role". - "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" could be "Benefits"? Actually it's about culture, flexibility, awards, DEI. Could be "Benefits" or "About the role". But we already have About the role. Could treat that as "Benefits" (work/life balance, awards, DEI). However the instruction says include a section ONLY when posting has real, specific content for it. The "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" is specific content about benefits/culture. So we could make a Benefits section. - "What Work You Will be Responsible For:" is Responsibilities. - "Basic Qualifications:" and "Preferred/Desired Qualifications:" could be combined into Requirements or Qualifications. The instruction lists Requirements, Qualifications, Skills. We could have a Qualifications section containing both basic and preferred. Or separate Requirements (basic) and Preferred/Desired Qualifications (maybe as Skills?). But better to have a Qualifications section with both. - "About Our Tax Team" and "About EisnerAmper" could be combined into About the role or maybe separate sections like "About the team" and "About the company". But we only have headings list; we could use About the role for intro, and maybe another section like "About the team" not in list. But we should stick to allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can also add other headings if needed? The instruction says use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). It implies those are examples; we could use others but better to stick to those. So we need to map content to those. We have: - About the role: could include the introductory paragraph about EisnerAmper looking for individuals, etc. Also maybe "About EisnerAmper" and "About Our Tax Team" could go here as well. - Responsibilities: the list under "What Work You Will be Responsible For:" (multistate consulting and compliance services, etc.) - Requirements: maybe basic qualifications. - Qualifications: maybe preferred/desired qualifications. - Skills: could be derived from preferred qualifications (experience with state tax planning, tax research, tax analysis, tiered flow-through entities, investment vehicles). Could also include technical skills. - Benefits: the "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" section. - Pay: salary range info. - Schedule: none, so omit. We must not create empty sections. We need to preserve all substantive information, not invent or summarize away detail. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We need to remove boilerplate: EEO statement, accommodation email, etc. Also remove duplicated lines, navigation, cookie, legal, scam-warning, application instructions. The posting includes: "We strongly believe in the value of diversity..." that's EEO boilerplate; remove. Also "Should you need any accommodations to complete this application please email: talentacquisition@eisneramper.com" remove. Also "Preferred Location: New York" maybe minor metadata; we could fold into a short

or drop it. Probably drop it as minor metadata. We need to keep all substantive info: the intro paragraphs, the "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" bullet points (they are not bullet list but sentences). We'll convert to

    • for list items? The instruction: Use
      • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. The "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" includes multiple sentences each starting with "You will get to be part..." etc. Those are like benefits; we can treat as list. Similarly responsibilities list includes many items separated by commas and semicolons; we need to parse into list items. Basic qualifications: list items: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field; CPA, EA, or JD; 10+ years of experience in state taxation; 5+ years of supervisory experience. Preferred/desired qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field; State income tax experience; Experience with state tax planning, tax research, and tax analysis; Experience with tiered flow-through entities and investment vehicles. Skills: maybe we can list same as preferred? Or we could extract skills like "state tax planning", "tax research", "tax analysis", "tiered flow-through entities", "investment vehicles". But we already have them as qualifications. Could still have Skills section with those. We need to avoid repeating content. Perhaps we put basic qualifications under Requirements, preferred under Qualifications, and skills under Skills (maybe overlapping). But we must preserve all substantive info; repeating is okay? The instruction says preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. It doesn't forbid repetition, but better to avoid duplication. However we could split: Requirements = basic qualifications; Qualifications = preferred/desired qualifications; Skills = maybe specific technical skills from preferred (state tax planning, tax research, tax analysis, tiered flow-through entities, investment vehicles). That would duplicate some content but still preserve. Might be okay. Alternatively we could combine basic and preferred into Qualifications and not have Requirements. But we need to decide. Let's map: - About the role: include introductory paragraph(s) about EisnerAmper looking for individuals, the experience, growth, etc., plus maybe "About EisnerAmper" and "About Our Tax Team" paragraphs. - Responsibilities: list of duties. - Requirements: basic qualifications. - Qualifications: preferred/desired qualifications. - Skills: maybe list of specific skills from preferred (state tax planning, tax research, tax analysis, tiered flow-through entities, investment vehicles). Could also include "CPA, EA, or JD" but that's qualification. - Benefits: the "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" bullet points. - Pay: salary range. We must not include schedule. Now we need to format. We'll produce something like:
