Tax Director - State and Local Tax (SALT) - Hybrid
- items.
Requirements: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field; CPA, EA, or JD; 10+ years of experience in state taxation; 5+ years of supervisory experience.
Preferred/Desired Qualifications: Master’s degree in Accounting or equivalent field; State income tax experience; Experience with state tax planning, tax research, and tax analysis; Experience with tiered flow-through entities and investment vehicles.
We could combine Basic and Preferred into Requirements and Qualifications sections. The spec says we have sections Requirements and Qualifications separate. Likely Requirements = basic qualifications; Qualifications = preferred/desired. Or we could put both under Requirements. But better to follow: Requirements = basic qualifications; Qualifications = preferred/desired.
Skills: Not explicitly listed, but we could infer from responsibilities: technical review, residency issues, sales tax consulting, audit defense, research and writing, due diligence, coordinating, reviewing pass-through entity issues, researching legislation, assisting tax consulting projects. Could be considered skills. But we should only include if posting actually states them. The posting does list those as responsibilities, not as a separate skills section. However we could still create a Skills section if we extract skill-like items from responsibilities? The instruction: "include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it". So we need explicit content for Skills. The posting does not have a separate "Skills" heading. It does list responsibilities that could be considered skills, but not explicitly labeled as skills. Safer to omit Skills section if no explicit skills list.
Benefits: The posting mentions flexibility to manage days, work/life balance, culture awards, ERGs, DEI, etc. Those are benefits. Also "What it Means to Work for EisnerAmper:" includes flexibility, culture, awards, ERGs. So we can create Benefits section with those items.
Pay: The posting includes salary range: "For Minnesota and Illinois, the expected salary range for this position is between $170,000 and $300,000. The range for the position in other geographies may vary based on market differences. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law." That's specific content for Pay. So include Pay section.
Schedule: Not mentioned explicitly. There's flexibility to manage days, but not a schedule like full-time, part-time, remote. Could infer hybrid? Not explicit. So omit Schedule.
Now we need to format.
We need
for each section heading. Inside sections: Use
- for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use
for prose. We need to preserve all substantive information; do not invent or summarize away detail. We must remove boilerplate: EEO statement, accommodation email? The accommodation email is maybe not boilerplate but could be considered application instruction? It says "Should you need any accommodations to complete this application please email: talentacquisition@eisneramper.com". That's application instruction; we should remove. Also "Preferred Location: New York" maybe location info; could be considered metadata but not a heading. Could be included as a short paragraph maybe under About the role? It's location preference. Might be considered substantive. We'll keep it as a short p. Also "About EisnerAmper" and "About Our Tax Team" paragraphs are substantive; we can include them under About the role or maybe as separate sections but we only have About the role heading. We'll include them there. Now craft HTML. Structure:
