Tax Credit Senior Counsel

About the role

The ideal candidate will have experience with real estate finance and New Markets Tax Credits.

Responsibilities

• Manage and advise on complex tax credit transactions
• Collaborate with clients on strategic planning and implementation of tax credit programs
• Provide legal advice and guidance on federal, state, and local tax credits
• Develop and implement strategies to maximize tax benefits for clients
• Participate in client meetings and presentations
• Stay current with changes in tax law and regulations affecting tax credits

Requirements

• At least eight years of tax credit experience
• Active bar license in the state corresponding with the office to which you are applying or commitment to obtain one as soon as possible

Pay

Pursuant to applicable state laws, the compensation range for this position in California, Colorado, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, and Washington, D.C. is $160,000 - $250,000 and in Illinois and Minnesota is $130,000 - $250,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience. Salaries in all other markets will vary depending on market data.
