Tax Attorney

Job Details

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of tax matters, including gift tax, tax-exempt organizations, partnership taxation, and estate tax.
• Represent clients before tax authorities and courts, defending their rights and interests.
• Prepare and review complex tax returns and provide strategic tax planning advice.
• Research and interpret tax laws, rulings, and regulations to ensure compliance and minimize tax liabilities.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and professionals to develop effective tax strategies and solutions.
• Negotiate tax dispute settlements and handle tax litigation.
• Stay abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to provide up-to-date advice to clients.
• Conduct educational workshops and seminars for clients and staff on tax-related topics.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to the state bar and in good standing.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience as a tax attorney
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master of Laws (LLM) in Taxation would be an asset.
• In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• High ethical standards and professional integrity.
