We are a full-service law firm with a national client base. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Attorney to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with clients on complex tax matters related to mergers and acquisitions (M&A), succession planning, and a variety of business law transactions. With our commitment to strategic growth, we aim to add 1-3 accomplished tax attorneys to our practice over the next year.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of tax matters, including business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and other related issues.
- Represent the company during tax audits and proceedings.
- Develop and implement effective tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Review and advise on the tax implications of proposed business transactions and initiatives.
- Prepare and review tax returns and other related documents.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and advise management on the potential impact of such changes on the company's operations.
- Work closely with other members of the legal team to address and resolve complex legal issues.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- 5-15 years of experience as a tax attorney, with a strong focus on business transactions, mergers and acquisitions.
- Thorough understanding of tax laws and regulations, particularly those related to business transactions and M&A.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
Qualifications
- CPA or LLM in Tax Law is desirable but not required.
Pay
$150,000 - $250,000 per year
