About the role

Riveron collaborates with companies to navigate the constantly shifting tax regulatory landscape, offering comprehensive solutions to mitigate, defend, or optimize tax positions. As a strategic partner, we provide hands-on support, enabling our clients to streamline decision-making processes and achieve favorable tax outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Advising private equity firms, corporate acquirers, and privately held businesses through all phases of the transaction lifecycle, including buy-side and sell-side due diligence, tax structuring, transaction planning, and post-close integration.
  • Managing multiple client engagements and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Preparing client-ready reports and managing multiple engagements in a team environment.
  • Identifying and solving problems proactively, and building trusted client relationships.

Requirements

  • CPA, JD, MST, or equivalent professional credential preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in State and Local Tax, including meaningful M&A due diligence experience.
  • Experience in public accounting, consulting, or a transaction advisory practice.
  • Strong technical knowledge across multiple state and local tax disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple engagements in a team environment.
  • Thriving in an ever-changing, dynamic work environment and readily identifying problems and instinctively looking for solutions.
  • Desire to participate in internal and external company initiatives such as community service, training, recruiting, and firm events.
  • Ability and willingness to travel as needed.

  • Proactive and practical approach to addressing tax challenges and enhancing internal tax functions.
  • Experience in public accounting, consulting, or a transaction advisory practice.
