Tax & Accounting Manager

Seeking a Tax/Accounting Manager to join a CPA firm in West Dundee, IL.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review taxes for individuals, businesses, pensions, and trusts.
• Provide tax consulting services.
• Provide strategic tax planning and compliance services.
• Identify opportunities for tax savings and risk mitigation.
• Interact with clients and take responsibility for client needs.
• Work with individuals and small and medium sized businesses in all areas of accounting and compliance.
• Maintain strong managerial, communication, technical, and organizational skills in a fast paced environment.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in all work products.

Requirements

• Accounting degree is required.
• 3 or more years of public accounting experience in accounting and tax is required.
• CPA certificate is preferred, but not required.
• Expertise with federal and state tax regulations.
• Experience interpreting financial statements.
• Experience with tax and accounting software packages, including UltraTax, Accounting CS, QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online.
• Strong client management, organizational, and problem solving skills.
