Tax & Accounting Associate

About the role

Our client is seeking a Tax & Accounting Associate to support the tax, accounting, and financial needs of a sophisticated private organization. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who wants exposure beyond traditional accounting, including complex tax structures, investments, trusts, and a variety of financial matters.

Responsibilities

• Support tax compliance and planning for individuals, trusts, partnerships, and corporate entities, including estimated tax calculations and coordination with outside tax advisors.
• Compile and analyze financial information, maintain supporting workpapers, and assist with tax filings, audits, and tax notices.
• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations and assist with financial reporting and month- and year-end close.
• Work closely with experienced internal professionals and external tax, audit, and financial advisors.
• Assist with special projects, financial analysis, process improvements, and other evolving accounting and tax needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 2+ years of relevant tax and accounting experience.
• Public accounting experience and CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and Excel skills with excellent attention to detail.
• High degree of professionalism, discretion, and ability to manage confidential information.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.

Pay

Annual salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 USD.
