Accounting and Tax Associate

Accounting and Tax Associate - Centennial, CO (in-office) Salary range: $65,000-80,000, based on experience Benefits: This position may be eligible for health, dental, vision, insurance, and 401(K) We are seeking a proactive Accounting and Tax Associate to join our public accounting firm. This role combines tax preparation, financial review, and client relationship management, supporting a diverse portfolio of clients in a fast-paced professional services environment. Responsibilities: Prepare and review corporate and individual tax workpapers and supporting documentationPrepare sales tax returns and assist with federal, state, and local tax complianceRespond to IRS and state tax notices by researching issues and preparing resolutionsResearch accounting and tax issues and recommend practical, client-focused solutionsPerform year-end financial reviews, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and expense analysisComplete bank reconciliations and depreciation schedulesManage a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships and providing exceptional serviceRespond promptly and professionally to client questions and requestsSupport firm leadership with special projects, client needs, and high-priority initiativesBalance multiple deadlines while adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced public accounting environmentCollaborate with colleagues and firm leadership across a variety of client engagements Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related fieldExperience with QuickBooks and strong comfortability with Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formula creation) requiredCPA, or plans to obtain certification preferredPrior experience in public accounting or client-facing tax/accounting work preferredStrong research, analytical, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to manage multiple client deadlines simultaneously Addison Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
