About the role

The Mental Health Center is seeking a Bachelor-level candidate to join our dynamic outreach team as a Targeted Care Specialist (TCS). TCSs support individuals with various mental health conditions such as Borderline Personality Disorder, PTSD, Major Depressive Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and others. The role involves developing meaningful relationships with clients, providing case management, and facilitating access to community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Works with clients to accomplish tasks like social exposure tasks, accessing community resources, applying for benefits, and securing housing.
  • Supports clients in the use of therapeutic skills such as interpersonal, DBT, anger management, problem-solving, and self-efficacy.
  • Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to ensure effective clinical treatment and goal achievement.
  • Completes progress notes on all clients seen and attends treatment team meetings and supervisions.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and automobile with liability insurance in the required amount.
  • Fundamental computer experience to process e-mail and access client/claims information within an EHR and web-based insurance portals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.
  • Supervisory/Management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, rehab counseling, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Time management and organizational skills are essential.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, staff, clients, and community partners.
  • Ability to work independently and manage caseloads of approximately 20-25 clients.

The salary range for this position is $24.94 - $30.42 per hour.
