Tanya McDonough is the Director of Operations for the Nantucket Wine & Food Festival. She previously held roles as Wine Director at Straight Wharf and Ventuno restaurants, and as the Wine Director at Nantucket’s Cru Restaurant. Tanya has extensive experience in the wine and service industry, having worked as a bartender, Wine Director, Sommelier, and Assistant General Manager.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the festival including logistics, vendor management, and coordination with local businesses.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the festival’s brand and reputation.
• Manage the festival’s budget and financial operations.
• Collaborate with vendors and sponsors to ensure successful event execution.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
