TANF Case Manager

About the role

Tanf Case Managers are responsible for providing support and guidance to families receiving Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits. This includes helping families access necessary resources, ensuring compliance with program requirements, and providing emotional support.

Responsibilities

• Assist families in accessing TANF benefits and other social services
• Monitor and ensure compliance with TANF regulations
• Provide emotional support and guidance to families
• Document interactions and progress with families
• Participate in regular case reviews and meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in social services or related field
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Knowledge of TANF programs and eligibility criteria

Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with case management software
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
