Technical Program Manager
Position Overview
The Technical Program Manager is responsible for driving the successful planning, execution, and delivery of complex technical programs within the organization. This role combines project management expertise with technical knowledge, facilitating cross-functional teams to meet ambitious goals while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Define and oversee the strategic direction of technical programs and ensure alignment with company objectives
- Develop comprehensive program roadmaps, project timelines, and resource plans, identifying key milestones and deliverables
- Establish measurable success criteria, KPIs, and metrics to track progress and ensure program success
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams of engineers, product managers, designers, and other stakeholders
- Serve as the point of contact for any escalations or risks within the program, addressing challenges and making course corrections as needed
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of technical programs from initiation through to delivery, including ideation, design, development, testing, and release
- Drive project execution, ensuring teams are meeting milestones, timelines, and quality expectations
- Identify and mitigate risks early, balancing trade-offs between scope, time, and resources
- Work closely with vendors to validate that deliverables meet both functional and non-functional requirements
- Continuously assess and improve processes related to program management, identifying opportunities to increase efficiency and optimize workflows
- Introduce best practices for managing large-scale technical initiatives, ensuring adherence to Agile, Scrum, or other relevant methodologies
- Analyze past program performance to drive improvements and prevent recurrence of issues in future programs
Qualification Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field; Master’s degree is a plus
- 5+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or engineering leadership, with at least 2 years managing large-scale, cross-functional technical projects
- Strong experience in Agile, Scrum, or similar project management methodologies
- Experience in managing complex technical initiatives, ideally in software development or systems engineering
- Solid understanding of software development processes, Agile, SDLC, and system architectures
- Ability to understand technical requirements and challenges to effectively communicate with engineering teams
- Familiarity with project management tools like JIRA, Trello, or Asana
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a track record of successfully managing risks
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- PMP (Project Management Professional), Scrum Master, or other relevant certifications

Salary will be commensurate with experience and skill set, considering a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal equity and market data alignment. In alignment with our Company culture, we will strive to communicate openly about the goals of the Company and the design of the compensation program. The compensation process is designed to be fair and simple so that all Members and managers understand the Company's goals and future career development opportunities for upward mobility.
Salary
$140,000 per year - $175,000 per year
