Talent Elementary Office Specialist
Job Description
This office specialist position plays a vital role in providing essential administrative and organizational support to the principal. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing clerical and computer-based tasks, including data and record-keeping and preparing correspondence.
- Answering phones, greeting visitors, and assisting the public and staff at the front desk.
- Supporting student health care needs, as well as supervising designated areas such as the grounds and cafeteria.
- Contributing to the efficient operation of the school office by providing a wide range of administrative and organizational support.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of office experience.
- Computer literacy. Proficiency with Microsoft office programs: Word, Excel, Google docs, Publisher.
- Knowledge of modern office methods, practices, and procedures; business English, spelling, and math calculations.
- Ability to multitask and remain flexible in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent customer service skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Physical demands needed: ability to communicate with students, co-workers, and the public; ability to communicate over the telephone; ability to respond to telephone, bells, students, co-workers, etc.; ability to read written materials; ability to operate office equipment; ability to carry or lift light loads (25 lbs).
Preferences
- Knowledge of Power School.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English highly desirable.

Salary
$19.55 to $24.77 per hour depending on experience.
Terms of Employment
7:00 am - 3:30 pm, beginning on August 20, 2026.
