About the role

MCI is seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to support high-volume recruitment within a fast-paced BPO / call center environment. This role focuses on the 180-recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, coordinating interviews and open days, maintaining recruitment data, and ensuring recruitment processes run efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Source and screen candidates for high-volume roles within the BPO / call centre environment.
  • Conduct initial candidate assessments and coordinate onsite interviews with hiring managers.
  • Cook up and facilitate open days and recruitment drives to support volume hiring campaigns.
  • Manage recruitment administration alongside hiring activities, ensuring all documentation, trackers, and records are accurately maintained.
  • Create, update, and manage recruitment trackers, wage trackers, and reporting dashboards in Excel.
  • Ensure recruitment systems and ATS records remain accurate, organized, and up-to-date.
  • Coordinate pre-employment screening, including background checks and world checks.
  • Manage multiple recruitment campaigns and requisitions simultaneously while meeting hiring deadlines.
  • Communicate professionally with candidates across all levels, from agent-level candidates to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure recruitment activities remain compliant with South African labour legislation and company policies.

Qualifications

  • A High School Diploma.
  • An entry-level tertiary qualification in Human Resources or a related field (advantageous).
  • Minimum 2 years’ recruitment experience within a BPO or call centre environment (essential).
  • Proven experience supporting high-volume recruitment campaigns.
  • Experience working with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR systems.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including maintaining trackers and recruitment reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage recruitment administration while handling active hiring pipelines.

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong administrative capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple recruitment processes and administrative tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong tracking and reporting skills, ensuring systems remain accurate and functional.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to engage effectively with candidates and senior stakeholders.
  • Professional, proactive, and flexible, with the ability to support onsite recruitment activities and open days when required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive recruitment information.

Physical Requirements

  • This job operates in a professional office environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset.
  • The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer.
  • The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
