Serving as a central resource for recruitment and hiring support, this role helps ensure hiring processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with a strong focus on customer service. The successful candidate will support a wide range of recruitment and applicant management functions while partnering closely with hiring departments, applicants, and campus stakeholders.

From guiding candidates through the application process to assisting departments with job postings and recruitment strategies, this position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on the university’s hiring success and workforce development efforts.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain job listings.
  • Support recruitment initiatives for student and staff positions.
  • Help departments move qualified candidates efficiently through the hiring process.
  • Serve as an important technical and customer support resource for both applicants and departmental users.
  • Assist with troubleshooting recruiting system issues.
  • Answer questions related to applications and hiring procedures.
  • Provide guidance on resumes, cover letters, and required hiring documentation.
  • Coordinate background screenings, driver’s license checks, and other pre-employment processes while ensuring timely communication with applicants, hiring managers, and external vendors.
  • Contribute to impactful hiring and workforce development programs designed to connect students and job seekers with valuable employment opportunities.
  • Participate in special projects that enhance recruitment services and improve the overall hiring experience for both applicants and departments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 48 months of related experience in lieu of the degree (total of 54 months related experience).
  • 6 months of customer service or related experience.
  • Hiring contingent upon a background check.
