About the Role
LSSI is hiring a full-time Talent Acquisition Specialist responsible for sourcing, attracting, and identifying top-tier candidates for open positions as well as developing a talent pipeline for a range of jobs across various regions within the designated network.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage full-cycle recruiting efforts, including interviewing, job posting, sourcing, screening, selection, and talent acquisition training, tailored to the dynamic needs of our nonprofit organization.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with internal stakeholders and external networks to support proactive talent acquisition and workforce planning.
- Analyze ATS data and all facets of the hiring process including but not limited to recruiting metrics, job posting effectiveness, sourcing effectiveness, interviews, and offers, to address potential barriers to processes.
- Organize and represent LSSI at recruitment events, job fairs, and professional networking opportunities to promote the organization’s brand and attract high-caliber talent.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and employment regulations throughout the recruitment lifecycle.
- Identify recruiting needs, establish strategies, and successfully attract and hire talent working toward the process of full-cycle recruiting.
- Develop and maintain partnerships and solid supportive working relationships with key networks, Human Resources, and hiring managers to assess, support, recruit for, and fill talent needs on a timely basis.
- Develop an understanding of positions, programs, and site requirements.
- Promote and create the organization’s presence to effectively establish and maintain partnerships with universities, schools, and other associations.
- Maintain professional communication and rapport with managers, active and passive job seekers, and organizational partners.
- Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individuals in a dignified, respectful, honest, and fair manner.
- Ensure a workplace where employees are engaged, their dignity is valued, and they have a sense of belonging both within their specific role and within the organization overall.
- Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences of clients, coworkers, and community.
- Ensure hiring managers are properly trained in all areas, including but not limited to the applicant tracking system utilization, selection and behavioral-based interviewing techniques, and are compliant with Equal Employment Opportunity (EEOC) laws.
- Establish and grow a network of contacts in the industry as well as effectively utilize social media to attract suitable candidates for current and future roles.
- Establish, manage, and maintain internship programs, including monitoring internship placements, as needed.
- Remain up to date with employment legislation, regulations, best practices, and enforcement in hiring, internship programs, and pipeline development.
- Support other recruitment needs.
- Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquiries received via email, telephone, text message, fax, and social media platforms.
- Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
- Responsible for completing all required training assignments as well as complying with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
- Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, psychology, or a related field preferred.
- Background check clearance required.
Skills & Qualifications
- Five (5) or more years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, including experience with career/job fairs and college recruiting preferred.
- Experience identifying and engaging passive candidates required.
- Excellent organization, presentation, and PC/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software required.
- Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems required.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills required.
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations impacting recruiting, selection, and the hiring process required.
- Effective time management skills required.
- Prior experience working in the not-for-profit area preferred.
- Ability to work with a high level of confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.

Pay
$65,000 - $85,000 Annually
