Position Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist plays a key role in attracting, hiring, and onboarding top talent to support Blue Ridge Care’s mission. This position manages the full cycle of recruitment and onboarding, ensuring a smooth and professional experience for candidates and new hires alike.
Responsibilities
- Recruiting
- Manage and fully utilize the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
- Provide recruiting analytics as needed and per schedule.
- Gather staffing needs from department managers and create and publish job ads, online and internally.
- Screen candidates and schedule interviews.
- Prepare and extend job offers.
- Participate in job fairs and other recruitment events.
- Assist with answering recruiting questions and escalating concerns to leadership as appropriate.
- Assign new hire checklist and pre-employment screenings (i.e., background check, drug test, and employee health).
- Process internal transfers.
- Onboarding
- Guide all new hires through the onboarding process, ensuring all employment and health documentation is completed accurately.
- Organize onboarding activities to make new employees feel welcome, create a positive impression, and respond to their queries.
- Issue new hire ID badges and access badges.
- Track sign-on bonuses and put in requests for clawback, when necessary.
- Track employee referral bonuses to ensure accurate processing.
- Process and maintain student onboarding; i.e., background check, MVR, and drug screening in accordance with organizational regulatory requirements.
- Recommend new approaches and procedures to effect continual improvement in efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required. Bachelor's or Associate’s Degree, preferred.
- Prior experience in retail and administrative recruiting is required; healthcare recruiting experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates ability to prioritize projects and effectively manage time.
- Possess interpersonal skills that promote effective communication.
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple open positions and meet hiring deadlines.
- High level of discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured according to state and organization requirements and is in good working order.
- Must be willing to travel the entire service area.
