Talent Acquisition Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist with hands-on electrical field experience to support high-volume and specialized hiring within our electrical construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead full-cycle recruitment for electrical construction roles, primarily field electricians from apprentice through foreman
- Partner closely with Operations and Field Leadership to understand project needs, workforce planning, and hiring timelines
- Sources candidates through job boards, trade networks, referrals, workforce development programs, and community outreach
- Conducts phone, virtual, and in-person interviews, evaluating both technical skill and cultural fit
- Clearly communicates job expectations, schedules, jobsite conditions, and career paths to candidates
- Supports bilingual recruiting efforts, including Spanish-language outreach, interviews, and candidate communications
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
- Aids in onboarding and transition of new hires into the field
- Supports retention initiatives by providing feedback from the field regarding hiring challenges and workforce trends
- Represents the company at job fairs, trade schools, and community events as needed
Requirements
- Previous hands-on electrical experience (licensed electrician, apprentice, foreman, or equivalent electrical field background)
- Experience working in electrical construction, industrial, commercial, or utility environments
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish (required)
- 2+ years of experience in recruiting, talent acquisition, HR, or workforce coordination (construction or trades preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical roles, trade classifications, certifications, and jobsite expectations
- Ability to communicate effectively with both field crews and leadership teams
- High level of organization, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Proficiency with ATS systems, Microsoft Office, and recruiting platforms
