About the role
Responsible for leading full cycle talent acquisition efforts for MIRATECH Houston, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and hiring qualified candidates for operational and office roles, in alignment with wider business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified candidates for open positions.
- Support MIRATECH's overall talent acquisition strategies and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and help develop tailored recruiting strategies.
- Train hiring managers in applicant tracking system (ATS) usage, interview best practices, and the overall hiring process.
- Maintain and build a strong pool of passive and active candidates through ongoing sourcing efforts and networking.
- Plan, manage, and oversee recruiting events, college fairs, campus visits, and other in-person engagement opportunities to build candidate pipelines and increase brand awareness.
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with career services departments, student organizations, instructors, and other partners in the education and workforce development space.
- Assist with recruitment materials, employment advertisements, and swag to support employer branding.
- Help coordinate pre-employment screenings including background checks, drug tests, and employment eligibility verifications.
- Oversee the applicant tracking system and onboarding software to ensure an optimal and professional candidate experience.
- Provide regular updates, reporting, and insights on recruiting efforts and metrics.
- Assist with special HR projects and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or similar.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- 3+ years Human Resources experience, specifically managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Experience recruiting for both operational/field-based roles and office positions preferred.
- Experience with high volume or skilled trades recruitment preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written in English and Spanish.
- Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize.
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
