FMI, a leading management consulting and investment banking firm specializing in the built environment, is seeking a proactive, relationship-driven Talent Acquisition Sourcing & Recruiting Specialist to join its growing People & Culture team. This role focuses on identifying, engaging, and attracting exceptional talent to meet both current and future hiring needs.

About the role

As a Talent Acquisition Sourcing & Recruiting Specialist, you will partner closely with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to develop and execute sourcing strategies for specialized consulting, investment banking, and corporate services roles. You will lead sourcing efforts, manage a select portfolio of recruiting requisitions, and build long-term talent pipelines to enable FMI to hire quickly as business needs evolve. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Raleigh, North Carolina, with three days per week in the office and two days working remotely. All applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis; visa sponsorship is not available at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team and hiring managers to develop sourcing strategies for current openings, with a focus on difficult-to-fill consulting, investment banking, and corporate services positions.
  • Proactively source and engage highly qualified candidates through LinkedIn Recruiter, referrals, networking, industry associations, market mapping, and other creative sourcing techniques.
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for critical and recurring positions, cultivating relationships with prospective candidates before hiring needs arise.
  • Conduct initial outreach, screen and qualify sourced candidates, and present strong matches to the recruiting team and hiring managers for active searches.
  • Develop and maintain talent communities through ongoing communication and relationship management with prospective candidates.
  • Manage a limited portfolio of recruiting requisitions through the full recruitment lifecycle, with responsibilities flexing based on hiring priorities, team capacity, and evolving business needs.
  • Partner with internal teams to coordinate and support FMI's seasonal internship and campus recruiting initiatives.
  • Administer and promote the employee referral program, identify opportunities to increase employee participation, and monitor referral effectiveness.
  • Track and analyze sourcing effectiveness, pipeline health, referral activity, and candidate conversion metrics to support hiring strategy and workforce planning.
  • Maintain candidate activity within BambooHR, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting tools while ensuring accurate documentation and reporting.
  • Continuously evaluate sourcing strategies, market trends, and best practices to strengthen FMI's ability to attract top talent.
  • Represent FMI's culture, values, and employment brand professionally throughout every candidate interaction.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, communications, psychology, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of talent sourcing, recruiting, or talent acquisition experience, with demonstrated success sourcing difficult-to-fill professional positions.
  • Experience supporting recruiting within consulting, professional services, finance, investment banking, or similarly specialized industries.
  • Proficiency with LinkedIn Recruiter, applicant tracking systems such as BambooHR or similar platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong relationship-building, networking, and candidate engagement skills.
  • Experience using recruiting metrics and market insights to improve sourcing strategies and hiring outcomes.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance proactive sourcing initiatives with full-cycle recruiting responsibilities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting consulting or professional services organizations.
  • Experience sourcing or recruiting investment banking talent.
  • Experience managing internship or campus recruiting programs.
  • Experience administering or supporting an employee referral program.
  • Knowledge of employment branding and talent marketing strategies.
  • Experience conducting talent mapping or workforce planning initiatives.
