Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to understand the needs and roles to be filled, reviews job descriptions for vacancies.
  • Aids in the development and revision of specifications and job descriptions for selected positions.
  • Identifies the most effective methods for recruiting and attracting candidates.
  • Leverages emerging recruiting technologies, including AI-enabled sourcing and screening tools, to enhance candidate outreach, engagement, and process efficiency.
  • Drafts recruitment advertisements: posts and/or places ads in the most effective digital and/or print media for open positions.
  • Identifies appropriate candidates and assesses their qualifications through review of their resumes, interviews, and other forms of communications.
  • Screens resumes and forwards qualified candidates for management review.
  • Performs in-person and phone interviews with candidates.
  • Maintains contact with candidates to keep them apprised of the status of their applications.
  • Captures and schedules interviews with the hiring managers with potential candidates.
  • Makes recommendations to management regarding personnel actions such as hires, promotions, and transfers.
  • Establishes, coordinates recruitment processes including applicant review process with department managers, reference checks, background investigation procedures and the hiring approval process.
  • Manages recruitment activities including receiving and maintaining personnel requisitions, making job offers and scheduling start dates.
  • Facilitates contacts by creating and maintaining a presence in the technical/industry community and marketplace while serving as a liaison with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations.
  • Coordinates with contractor liaisons to ensure staffing goals are achieved.
  • Attends job fairs and industry conferences; runs company booth at job fairs.
  • Completes timely reports on employment activity on a weekly basis.
  • Ensures compliance with regard to hiring process in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal laws.
  • This role is responsible for the applicable outreach of veterans, disabled and taking actions applicable to Affirmative Action planning.

Qualifications

  • Excellent English communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Thorough understanding of technical roles and technical skills.
  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Experience working and recruiting in a manufacturing, industrial or aviation environment.
