Responsibilities
- Understand business objectives as it relates to talent, while creating and executing recruiting strategies to support the external talent needs of the company
- Build a broad talent network through methods such as employee referrals, social media, passive candidate sourcing, etc.
- Spend time with stakeholders to fully understand the business, the key talent needs, and the value proposition for prospective candidates. This includes maintaining relationships with hiring managers to stay abreast of current and future hiring needs
- Understand external talent availability and talent challenges that exist in the markets that supply customer organizations. Utilize this knowledge to design recruiting strategies that efficiently generate top quality candidates
- Set strategy & manage key recruiting schools in support of University relations efforts.
- Manage and coordinate appropriate communications with candidates during the interview and hiring process
- Assist in planning orientation, campus, and intern events, provide training to campus team, intern supervisors, and sponsors
- Create and present employment offers for full time, intern, and co-op candidates
- Maintain accurate records of applicants in Success Factors
- Travel to universities for campus events as needed
- Involve Eastman's ERG (Employee Resource Groups) in campus related activities
- Coordinate and assist US sites with their UR programs
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field or commiserate experience is required, masters preferred
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of project management, including proven experience of successfully managing project in either a work or academic environment
- Experience working cross functionally, including coordinating with other groups and organizations
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in project work, ensuring high-quality deliverables, including strong organization skills
- Proficient knowledge of the recruitment process and campus events and/or activities
- Creativity in researching and developing recruitment solutions as it relates to university relations and campus activities
- Able to travel and recruit at targeted college campuses as required
- Knowledge of recruitment processes as it relates to University Relations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access)
